Join us for our International Women’s Day event! We are celebrating the one year anniversary of the PUSH campaign and building momentum towards IMNHC 2026 as we bring together midwives, advocates, and partners to PUSH back for rights, for women, and for midwives.

This session will explore how the new ICM Global Standards for Midwife Faculty Development are being put into practice particularly Standard 6 on maintaining midwifery practice competence. Presentations will highlight emerging evidence from the Global Educators of Midwives Study (GEMS).

This session will showcase the new ICM Global Standards for Midwife Faculty Development, explain the need and background behind their creation, and share country examples of how they can be implemented, evaluated and used to develop effective midwife faculty development programmes.

Building on the success of the inaugural event, the 2nd UAE International Midwifery Conference (UAEIMC 2025) returns as a premier platform for advancing midwifery practice. Organized by the Midwifery Society of the Emirates Nursing Association, this CME-accredited two-day conference is scheduled for 8-9 November 2025 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The PUSH Campaign, hosted by the International Confederation of Midwives, together with Global Health Visions (GHV) and our advocacy partners, are hosting a high-level breakfast and side event at the International Conference for Family Planning 2025 to launch a new evidence brief that synthesizes the economic, gender, health, and climate cases for investing in midwives.

The 8th EMA Education Conference will be held on the 24th and 25th of October 2025 at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Malta. Co-hosted by the European Midwives Association and the Malta Union of Midwives and Nurses (MUMN), this year’s theme is “Dynamic Midwifery: Keeping Abreast of Change Through the Career Cycle.”

Join us for a webinar highlighting the Collaborate for Women: Abortion and Contraception Care Together (C4W ACCT) initiative, involving FIGO, ICM, and WHO/HRP. C4W ACCT focuses on strengthening competency-based education in family planning (FP) and comprehensive abortion care (CAC) across Africa and Asia, while promoting collaboration among OBGYNs, midwives and other key stakeholders.

As climate change intensifies and humanitarian crises grow more frequent, midwives are at the forefront, delivering life-saving sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and family planning (FP) services in the most challenging environments. This timely and solution-focused webinar, hosted by ICFP and ICM, will spotlight their leadership, lived experiences, and the critical intersections between climate, crisis response, and SRHR. It will also explore how stronger collaboration across sectors can support more resilient, equitable, and rights-based health systems.
