Extending Congress Learning Beyond Borders – Post Congress Webinar Series (Session 1)
The 34th ICM Triennial Congress brought together thousands of participants from around the world to exchange knowledge, showcase research, and strengthen the global midwifery community.
Unfortunately, some presenters with accepted oral presentations and workshops were unable to attend the Congress due to visa-related barriers and could not share their work in Lisbon.
This post-Congress webinar series provides these presenters with an opportunity to share their accepted work with the global midwifery community, ensuring that valuable contributions are not lost and that more midwives around the world can benefit from the knowledge and research presented at the Congress.

How can we create safe spaces for teenagers to make informed decisions about their sexual, reproductive and mental health?
In our first session of the Post-Congress Webinar Series, Musawo Betty Care and Research Centre will share “Shaping Futures for Teenagers”, a workshop programme developed in Uganda by midwives, teachers and psychologists in response to the challenges facing adolescents, including teenage pregnancy.
The session will explore how school and holiday workshops use comprehensive sexuality education, peer engagement, scenario-based learning and storytelling to help teenagers build knowledge, confidence and the ability to seek support without fear or judgement.
