The rights of migrants and refugees must be protected in all countries and in all circumstances. Midwives must ensure equity in access to SRMNH services regardless of a person's refugee status.

During the 2023 wildfires in Hawaii, midwife Jacquelyn Ingram sprang into action. With her experience and training, she led a team to help those affected. They set up a clinic, focusing on supporting breastfeeding and providing essential care. Now, Jacquelyn emphasizes the importance of recognizing midwives in emergencies.
