The Catalan Association of Midwives (ACL), together with the Midwives Federation of Spain (FAME) and the International Confederation of Midwives (ICM) is organizing the IV Congress of the ACL, the XV Congress of the FAME, and the II ICM Southern European Region Conference, on May 26, 27 and 28, 2016 in Tarragona (SPAIN).

This Congress, international in its scope, aims to create a space for exchanging experiences among midwives in Southern Europe.

The theme of the congress, "Listening to women, thinking as midwives", reflects the wish to strengthen relationships and build bridges that bring us closer in the development of our discipline, as well as building knowledge and sharing experiences and scientific evidence. These concepts will be very useful to apply them to benefit the development of maternal and child health, as well as sexual and reproductive women’s health, and that of the general population.

The organizing and scientific committees have prepared a quality program with a wide range of contents, some of which are in a debate format, since they can be seen from many different angles, and this fact will surely enrich us and help us think, reflect and open new perspectives. Also, presenting good practices of care, management, teaching and research will allow us to know how we can innovate.

The conference website www.midwives2016.org, is ready, there you will be able to find all the information you need, formalize your registration and / or submit your abstracts.

We will also enjoy a charming city, full of history and culture, which welcomes us, so that we all midwives in Southern Europe can meet up again.
