Voluntary advisory bodies bringing together midwife educators, regulators, researchers, practising midwives and emerging leaders to provide technical advice, strengthen regional networks, and support policy, strategy, and programme development globally regionally.

This programme equips Midwives’ Associations with digital skills and tools to strengthen advocacy, storytelling, and long-term sustainability across Africa, the Eastern Mediterranean, and South-East Asia.

Through this community, ICM connects senior midwifery leaders to strengthen leadership, shape policy, and increase the visibility and influence of Chief Midwives worldwide.

This initiative promotes competency-based, collaborative approaches to family planning and comprehensive abortion care, with midwives and obstetrician-gynecologists working together to expand access to high-quality, evidence-based services.

This programme pairs executive sponsors with existing or emerging midwife leaders, providing participants with valuable guidance, opportunities for growth, and reciprocal learning experiences.

This tailored online course supported 16 countries to align their regulatory mechanisms for pre-service midwifery education with the ICM Global Standards for Regulation, strengthening midwifery education across the region.

PUSH is ICM’s global campaign for woman-centred care, advocating for midwives as the way to get us there. Midwives are critical to improving sexual and reproductive health access and outcomes, reducing maternal mortality, and saving newborn lives.

Co-developed by ICM and Laerdal, the ICM Midwifery Competencies is a solution to help midwifery educators prepare students for clinical practice.

With support from Direct Relief, ICM has provided emergency grants to Türkiye, Morocco, and Ukraine as part of our response to humanitarian and climate related crises.
