The International Confederation of Midwives (ICM) is excited to announce the opening of abstract submissions for the 34th ICM Triennial Congress, set to take place in Lisbon, Portugal, in 2026. The programme ran from 2018 – 2020, and aimed to train, equip and support MAs, midwives and other health care providers with the skills they need to save the lives of mothers and newborns.

World leaders have committed to achieving UHC by 2030, and it is imperative that midwives and midwives’ associations are included as part of UHC planning at all levels – local (including facility- and community-level), regional and national.
