ICM’s Website a Finalist for an Anthem Award: A Chance to Spotlight Midwives

ICM
18 October 2024

Earlier this week we got some exciting news — ICM’s updated website is a finalist for the prestigious Anthem Award in the Health Awareness category! This is a huge opportunity for ICM, and our profession, to gain global visibility and spark conversations outside the health sector, about the work of midwives.

Our website was designed with you—our global community—in mind, to be an intuitive, accessible, and easy-to-use hub for midwives, policymakers and sexual and reproductive health advocates everywhere. The Anthem Awards have recognised this and have included ICM in their celebration of people and organisations that make a difference.

What are the Anthem Awards?

The Anthem Awards, created by well-known Webby Awards for digital excellence, honour social impact work across seven causes, including Health, Diversity & Inclusion, Human Rights, and Sustainability. By recognising organisations like ICM, the awards elevate efforts that drive positive change globally, like the work of midwives.

Why This Matters for Midwives

Winning this award would shine a light on the essential roles midwives have in providing health services every day, and help us advocate for them to be enabled to practise according to ICM standards. It’s an incredible opportunity to engage the public, encourage conversations about reproductive, maternal and newborn health, and inspire more people to get involved in supporting and enabling midwives.
