Sheyla Karman

Project Controller

Sheyla Karman joined ICM in 2024. As Project Controller, Sheyla is responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of ICM’s projects, ensuring compliance with ICM policies and donor requirements, and providing accurate reporting to support project management decisions.

Prior to joining ICM, Sheyla began her international career with PricewaterhouseCoopers, where she worked as an auditor, later joining Ocwen Financial Corporation as Financial Reporting Manager, responsible for SEC regulatory reporting. She also served her native country of Panama as the Financial and Ambassador’s Assistant at the Embassy of Panama to the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

During a pause in her career, she took on volunteer leadership roles at various non-profit organisations, applying her financial and audit skills to strengthen operations. She also led teams in organising annual women’s conferences focused on supporting women in their roles as mothers and in their faith journey.

Sheyla was born in Panama, grew up in New York City, and has lived in various countries around the world—experiences that have deepened her passion for cooking and exploring diverse cultures.
