Sergio Beneitez

Board and Projects Assistant

Sergio Beneitez joined ICM in 2024. As a Board and Projects Assistant, Sergio is responsible for managing the administration of ICM’s governance processes, supporting the Board, Committees, Council, and Independent Election Committee. He ensures the smooth operation of governance meetings, oversees elections, and maintains key governance documents. Additionally, he contributes to organizational change initiatives by assisting in the development of ICM policies and processes.

Before joining ICM, Sergio interned with the Dutch Relief Alliance, where he supported the Board of Directors and several working groups, including Early Warning and Innovation. Through this and other experiences, he has developed expertise in facilitating high-level strategic discussions, supporting decision-making processes, and fostering collaboration across diverse teams.

Sergio holds a master’s degree in International Politics from Leiden University, where he graduated cum laude, and is completing a second master’s in Crisis and Security Management: War and Peace Studies at the same institution.
