Programme Lead

Rosalijn (Rosa) Both joined ICM in 2024. As a Programme Lead, Rosalijn is responsible for the strategy and implementation of ICM programmes, including the oversight of cross-organisational association strengthening activities.

Prior to joining ICM, Rosalijn worked in the field of young people’s sexual and reproductive health as a senior programme officer and researcher on multi-country programmes. She also worked for several years in Ethiopia as a Programme Advisor for an NGO working on relief and livelihoods programmes for refugees and internally displaced persons. She has also worked on livelihoods and HIV-related intervention design in Ethiopia, Kenya, Zimbabwe and Zambia.

Rosalijn holds a Masters and PhD in Medical Anthropology. Her PhD focused on young people’s use of sexual and reproductive health technologies in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. This included extensive research on the use of the emergency contraceptive pill. She has published in peer-reviewed journals.

In her spare time, she enjoys being outdoors and learning the Amharic language.
