ICM’s Midwives’ Data Hub a Finalist for Prestigious Anthem Award

Earlier this week we got some exciting news — ICM’s Midwives’ Data Hub is a finalist for the prestigious Anthem Award in the Health category. This is the second year in a row ICM has been recognised by the Anthem Awards; last year, our revamped website won the award for best website in the Health category.
This year, we’re especially excited for audiences beyond the health sector to discover and use the Data Hub. Recognition like this helps get the Hub and critical data on midwives and outcomes onto more people’s devices — and into more conversations — so that more people learn about the impact of midwives on sexual, reproductive, maternal, newborn and adolescent health (SRMNAH) outcomes they influence.

About the Midwives’ Data Hub
In partnership with Direct Relief, we created a first‑of‑its‑kind, open‑access platform that brings together trusted data from 50+ sources to make midwives and their impact more visible. The first version launched in 2021. Building on community feedback, we revamped and relaunched the Hub earlier this year with improved usability, accessibility and practical tools for midwives, policymakers and sexual and reproductive health advocates everywhere.
What are the Anthem Awards?
The Anthem Awards, is a prestigious recognition for the quality of online resources, created by the team behind the Webby Awards for digital excellence. They honour social impact work across seven causes, including Health, Diversity and Inclusion, Human Rights and Sustainability. By recognising organisations like ICM, the awards elevate efforts that drive positive change globally, like the work of midwives.
Why this matters for midwives
This recognition is ultimately about the Hub: accessible, visually appealing and ready-to-use data in one place. The Midwives’ Data Hub enables anyone — from midwives and policymakers to journalists and the public — to quickly see the evidence of midwives’ impact and use it to advocate for high‑quality SRMNAH care. Greater visibility means more people can find, trust and apply the Hub in their daily work to support women and gender diverse people — and more people can start to understand the impact of midwives.
How you can help
In each Anthem category there are two paths to recognition: the Community Voice Award (decided by public voting) and three jury‑selected prizes. We are aiming for a jury prize — and, while the judges deliberate, we want to do our best to also win the Community Voice Award to show how big and powerful the global midwifery community is.
If the Midwives’ Data Hub has been a useful resource for you, here is your chance to show your support:

Voting closes on 30 October 2025, so please vote and share the link with your networks.
This is a great moment to bring even more attention to midwifery and show the world why midwives are such an important part of women’s health and rights.
