ICM Statement on Unauthorised Press Releases

It has come to ICM’s attention that some Regional Professional Committees have been sending press releases and statements to regional media outlets regarding the conflict in Israel and Palestine. This has been done without the knowledge or endorsement of ICM’s Leadership Team or Board. We have also been made aware that these statements have used the ICM logo.

These statements were not written by ICM and do not reflect ICM’s official views or positions.

It is not within the scope of work of the Regional Professional Committees (RPC) to issue statements or press releases. The RPCs have been reminded of this, and reminded that official communications and statements must be approved by ICM’s Chief Executive. They have also been told to stop sending these statements. ICM will continue to monitor the situation and communicate with the RPCs as necessary.
