ICM 2026 Congress – Travel Advisory Update
The ICM 2026 Congress Secretariat is aware that the current geopolitical situation in the Middle East may be creating uncertainty for some participants regarding international travel arrangements, especially for participants affected countries and those whose travel plans include connecting flights in the region.
At this time, the ICM 2026 Congress, scheduled to take place in Lisbon, Portugal in June 2026, is proceeding as planned. The organising committee is closely monitoring the evolving situation and remains in contact with relevant partners and authorities.
We understand that some participants, particularly those travelling long distances or transiting through regions that may be affected by current developments, may have concerns regarding flight routes, travel advisories, insurance coverage, or the possibility of travel disruptions. We recognise that many participants must make decisions regarding work leave, accommodation, and travel plans well in advance, and we understand the importance of timely communication.
As the Congress is scheduled several months from now, we remain hopeful that the situation will soon improve and that Congress participants will be able to travel to Lisbon as planned.
We are unable to advise on individual travel decisions, routing, or insurance coverage, and participants should rely on guidance from their national authorities, insurance providers, airlines, and other relevant authorities.
The Congress Secretariat remains hopeful that the situation will stabilise in the coming weeks and we look forward to welcoming Congress participants from around the world to Lisbon.
We will continue to monitor developments closely and will provide updates on formal Congress communications channels as needed. If you are registered for Congress, you will receive these updates by email. We also invite you to subscribe to the ICM Newsletter and to follow ICM on Instagram and LinkedIn.
