International Day of the Midwife 2023
Empowering Midwives, Celebrating Connections: A Recap of the #IDM2023 Contest and Theme Unveiling for the 33rd ICM Triennial Congress
We are so excited to meet again in person, and to use #IDM2023 to create excitement for our upcoming Triennial Congress (11-14 June). This IDM, we acknowledge the evidence supporting our profession and the necessity of transforming this evidence into enhanced respect, autonomy, and working conditions for midwives, ultimately improving health outcomes for women and families.
In celebration of #IDM2023, we are offering women and gender diverse people the chance to express gratitude and honour a midwife in their lives. From 15 February to 1 May 2023, we are asking anyone with a midwife in their life to share a photo of that midwife on Instagram, accompanied by a brief description explaining why that midwife deserved a five-day, all-expenses-paid trip to Bali, Indonesia, and free access to the 33rd ICM Triennial Congress (11-14 June). The winner will be announced at the #IDM2023 event.
