Work With Us

ICM actively supports and strengthens midwives’ associations from around the world. By working with us, you help promote autonomous midwives, enhance the reproductive health of women and gender diverse people, and support midwives to provide quality care before, during and after pregnancy.

Contribute to sustainable development

The United Nations has set 17 goals for Sustainable Development (SDGs) to be achieved by 2030 with the aim of “peace and prosperity for people and the planet.” If you join ICM, you will be part of the world-wide shared effort to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages (SDG 3) and achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls (SDG 5).

Work for a diverse, global organisation

ICM represents midwives from more than 100 different countries spread all over the world. Our staff, Board members and other volunteers come from diverse backgrounds, and bring their unique perspectives and experiences to their work. By joining our team, you will be able to learn from, and with, colleagues from around the world.

Collaborate with an organisation with strong values and culture

Taking from the midwifery philosophy, at ICM we empower individuals and foster a culture of respect, empathy and collaboration. We pursue excellence through partnership, prioritising transparency, equity and inclusion. Our work is driven by our mission, and every day we ensure that we are contributing to every woman having access to a midwife’s care for her sexual, reproductive and maternal health needs, as well as for the health and wellbeing for her newborn.
