Global Technical Consultation
ICM has a consultative status with UN Agencies and part of the ICM remit is to provide consultancy and advice in global sexual and reproductive health and rights issues. ICM regularly participates in technical consultative meetings for WHO and its partners.
Examples of these meetings topics include: the development of the Essential Interventions for Maternal Newborn and Child Health services; the development of the document Optimizing4Maternal Health Care; “Task shifting in order to increase access to HIV and AIDS services.”
ICM is also party to the consultative meetings on the development of Tools and Guidelines for global use such as: Integrated Management of Pregnancy and Child birth; Family planning; The Critical Role of the Skilled Attendant at Birth; Post Abortion Care.
ICM also has an active advisory role advising regional institutions developing educational programmes.
