Andrew Otiko
Andrew Otiko was elected to be ICM’s Treasurer in June 2023. As the Treasurer, Andrew is responsible for the financial health of ICM, advising on financial reporting, financial risk management and audit matters. Andrew is the only ICM Board member who is not a midwife, and was appointed based on his financial competence.
Andrew is a senior executive officer from the UK with over 20 years’ experience in the banking and financial technology industries. He currently serves as the CEO of a leading African provider of digital transformation and mobile payment solutions. He is adept at corporate strategy, performance optimisation, equity investments, and change management. He is also skilled in building strategic partnerships and driving necessary change to increase profitability.
Andrew is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a member of the ICAEW. He holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance, a Master of Science in Analysis, Design and Management of Information Systems, from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He is also certificated in Advanced FInancial Modelling by the London School of Business and Finance.
Andrew holds company directorship positions globally, including in a number of charities. He is passionate about education and financial inclusion with a keen interest on how technology impacts payments. He also enjoys playing chess and other strategy-based board games.
