PMNCH: Partnership Maternal Newborn and Child Health
The Partnership is a global health partnership launched in September 2005 and joins the maternal, newborn and child health (MNCH) communities into an alliance of some 180 members to ensure that all women, infants and children not only remain healthy, but thrive.
ICM sits on the Board of the PMNCH as a permanent member with the WHO, the World Bank, UNICEF, UNFPA, the Gates Foundation, FIGO, the International Paediatric Association (IPA) and international donor countries. PMNCH is the preeminent global agency addressing MDGs 4 & 5. Board of PMNCH.
ICM has contributed to all the documents and guidelines that have been developed by PMNCH, the most recent of which are the Essential Interventions for Maternal Newborn and Child Health and the Critical indicators for Maternal Newborn and Child health services. As a permanent member of the Board, ICM contributes to the review of applications for membership and serves as an alternate Executive member representing the Health Care Professions Associations constituency of the partnership.
