Argentinian Midwives Benefit from New Law

A new law in Argentina includes the competencies granted by University Degrees in the frame of the Midwifery Association Law. This law will enhance the scope of professional practice for midwives and regulate their professional work in the Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. 

This law was launched by the province of Buenos Aires Midwifery Association, led by its President, Alicia Cillo. It was approved on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 by the Buenos Aires Province Honourable Deputies Chamber.

It encompasses the academic training that midwives receive in State and Private Universities and their academic degrees, resulting in a wider scope of professional practice.
